A unique opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist with clinically relevant experience, to join the East Midlands Cancer Alliance Centre for Psychosocial Health, providing a remote clinical psychology service for people affected by cancer across the East Midlands. This project is funded by NHS England / East Midlands Cancer Alliance.
We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, flexible individual, who works to high standards. You will have excellent communication skills and a demonstrable interest in working to improve the lives of people with cancer.
The wider Physical Health Psychology Service consists of Clinical, Counselling, and Health Psychologists working across physical health specialties and staff wellbeing remotely across the East Midlands and at Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust and John Eastwood Hospice. You will be part of a highly supportive and innovative team who are committed to offering an excellent service to patients and staff in physical healthcare settings.
You will support the project team of clinical psychologists to improve access to psychological support for people diagnosed with cancer. You will carry out a range of clinically related tasks, as well as general project administration. The post holder will also support outcome data collection and analysis for audits and service evaluation. You will support the delivery of psychological assessments and interventions to patients and the development, delivery and evaluation of a training package for multidisciplinary staff. As a remotely delivered project, you will be expected to work from home, with monthly in person attendance if required across the East Midlands.

We provide intellectual disability, mental health, community health, forensic and offender healthcare services across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.
