**About the role**:
UCL Careers is seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to join the dedicated UCL School of Management Careers Team to support the career development of students on the BSc Information Management for Business programme. Developed in close collaboration with some of the UK’s most well-known companies, this is a pioneering degree programme offering a distinctive balance of IT, Management, and Business. The IMB degree is designed to develop graduates who are independent thinkers and creative problem solvers able to contribute to the next wave of business transformation.

Reporting to the Senior Employer Engagement Officer and working closely with key stakeholders including employers and alumni, this role will contribute to the delivery of a programme of bespoke careers activities and events. These activities could include panel events, workshops, networking events and internships amongst others, and will enable students to build their professional network, improve skills and business acumen, and demonstrate professional skills more effectively to potential employers.

A key part of the role will be coordinating the employer facing element of student consultancy projects. This will include outreach and liaison with employers to source projects focusing on real life business challenges, helping to match final year students to available projects and being a point of contact for employers throughout the project period.

There is the opportunity for this to be a hybrid working position, with a mix of on-campus and remote working if desired. The main UCL Careers office is based in Bloomsbury and some event delivery will take place at the School’s Canary Wharf site (One Canada Square).

**About you**:
This is an exciting role working with an international student body and a range of stakeholders across UCL School of Management, alumni community and with UK and international graduate employers. To succeed in the role, you will need to have experience of building strong and effective working relationships, with the ability to influence and the tenacity and drive to proactively approach employers and internal colleagues.

Well-organised, you will be able to manage multiple tasks effectively, and plan ahead to keep on top of priorities. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to build rapport with others across different cultures and backgrounds.

A background in, or knowledge of Finance, Management Consultancy & Technology sectors would be beneficial, as these are key areas of interest for our students. Previous experience of organising a programme of events is desirable.
