The Community Support Service supports people to regain their independence through reablement offering a period of short-term recovery. We are a CQC registered service that is rated overall ‘Outstanding’.

Our reablement team works with individuals to increase their ability to look after themselves following illness or injury and to rebuild the skills and confidence to help them live as independently as possible. We are working closely with colleagues and partners in health and the voluntary sector to ensure that we have an integrated and collaborative approach to our service. We are different from traditional home care, as we support and encourage people to carry out everyday activities themselves. We work closely with our occupational therapy and social work colleagues to support people coming home from hospital and support people in the community to maintain their independence.

The Community Support Service has been given additional funds to expand this excellent service and is therefore looking for flexible, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our brilliant team. The team lead role is for 37 hours per week on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays.

The Team Leaders operationally manages the day-to-day functions of the service under the supervision and support of the Deputy and Team Manager. You will supervise and manage a team of community support workers who deliver the front-line care and support to our customers.

**If you have**:

- experience working in social care or another care related field
- experience of managing a team (recruitments, managing absence, etc)
- experience of staff rota management
- ability to effectively organise and meet deadlines
- good verbal and written communication skills
- competent and confident using IT packages, software, and equipment
- experience of working in partnership with other professionals at all levels
- have a full driving license and access to a car when at work is essential
- Awareness of CQC standards and safeguarding procedures
