An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Specialty Medicine Care Unit for a part time Bereavement Officer. The Specialty Medicine Care Unit is part of the Medicine & Emergency Care Division at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The hours for this vacancy are 11.5 per week working Monday's & Tuesday's

The main duties of the role are to provide practical help and advice to the relatives of those who have recently died within the hospital, this includes return of property and valuables and processing the Medical Certificate and Cause of Death.

The role also supports relatives in providing advice and information on a wide range of bereavement services, including registration of the death and signposting relatives to other sources of advice including the Coroner’s Office.
