Hunter Savage is delighted to be working in partnership with leading manufacturing business to recruit a Commercial Management Accountant to join the finance team.

My client is a market leader in its industry and has gone through a period of sustained growth over recent years. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful Management Accountant will take ownership of the management accounts for a specific division within the Group and be responsible for all aspects of margin reporting.

**The Role**:

- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts including responsibility for all aspects of product margin reporting.
- Processing of month end journals and detailed analysis of the product group margins.
- Analyse variances between actual, budget and prior year results
- Liaise with the Production function in the analysis of manufacturing variances and take a lead role in improvement projects.
- Ensure regular review meetings between production and finance with particular focus on driving efficiencies.
- Perform periodic raw material stock audits and material management procedures reviews.
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets.
- Investigation of financial systems and procedures and form recommendations for development and improvement
- Financial analysis and recommendations on an ad hoc basis as required.

**The Person**:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with have a minimum of 3 year’s recent and relevant broad-based experience within an accounts function - ideally gained within manufacturing
- Advanced working knowledge of Windows based software including excel spreadsheets is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI would be desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver high quality work within strict time frames and confident written and oral communication skills in this hands-on role.
