**The role will involve**:

- Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
- Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies
- Ensuring the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhering to the cleaning rota system, encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate
- Ensuring that high quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice from shift Leaders and Manager.
- Maintaining and promoting residential care work to high levels of professionalism expected by SANQ Children Services and Ofsted
- Meeting the emotional and physical needs of our young people and maximising opportunities for their development
- Providing support to the Team leaders/ Manager of the home whilst on shift and performing duties as directed

**What we are looking for from you**:

- Relevant care setting experience for the Residential Care Worker Position.
- Evidence that you share the values of SANQ Children Services in your behaviours and work practice
- Completion of Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or willing to work towards this) or equivalent (required)
- Passion to help nurture children and young people (essential)
- Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins and weekends (essential) (Rota plan given in advance but likely to be 1 on 2 off)
- Full, UK driving licence (essential)
- Compassionate and patient demeanour (essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential)
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from supervisors (essential)
- Thrives as part of a team

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
