Graduate Quantity Surveyor

We have an exciting opportunity available for a **Graduate Quantity Surveyor **to join our expanding team at our well-established and growing Main Contractor Construction Company based in**Corby, Northamptonshire.**
7formation Ltd are a nationwide fit-out principal contractor who specialise in both internal and external build solutions. We deliver a one-stop tailored service and undertake the full raft of works.
We are a main contractor dealing with the construction contractor side of quantity surveying.
The company has quadrupled in size in the last five years, with many of the management team having been promoted from within, and a strong mentoring and professional development ethos.

**The Graduate Quantity Surveyor role**
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial team, where two of our shining stars joined from University not so long ago and are flying up the ranks We’ll support you to learn from the existing team to become a fully fledged Quantity Surveyor. At 7formation we’re passionate about bringing people on board and watching them grow.
**Main responsibilities of the Graduate Quantity Surveyor include**:
- Preparing and pricing tenders ready to send with commercial manager’s approval. Preparing subcontractor bid packages and contracts. Showing creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors. Having a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned. Submitting 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline. Developing RFI's and clarifications and ensure adequate subcontractor coverage. Reviewing awarded tender drawings with Project team and highlight areas of concern. Seeking & qualifying new subcontractors and suppliers in line with tender and HSQE requirements. Handling all subcontractor interactions- Assisting in maximising cashflow through the control, measurement and valuation of work and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers.
**Our ideal Graduate Quantity Surveyor** **will have the below skills and experience**:
- **A degree in Quantity Surveying is essential**:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office user
