Marketing Assistant

At Guides for Brides, we represent some of the top wedding venues, bridal boutiques and wedding businesses in the UK and overseas. Our mission is to promote them effectively to wedding consumers and generate bookings for them. We have an opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our marketing team here at Guides for Brides during their university placement year.

As the Marketing Assistant, you’ll be a core member of our marketing team, helping us to deliver a number of important campaigns and projects across the year on both a B2B and B2C front. From content creation, social media marketing, SEO, PR and more, you’ll be exposed to a great range of marketing activities and techniques during your time with Guides for Brides.

**About you**:

- You will have completed 2 years of degree level study by the time you join us, ideally achieving a 2:1 in your first year.
- You are self-motivated and driven. We work at a fast pace
- You take pride in your work and demonstrate absolute attention to detail
- You are organised and can manage multiple priorities
- You want to develop your understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques
- You are results driven and always want to improve on your last campaign
- You can write in a compelling, convincing and inspirational style
- You have a genuine interest in weddings and the wedding industry.

**Essential for the role**:

- You can demonstrate previous relevant experience and a strong work ethic
- You are fluent in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills

**It’s not essential, but this role is more likely for you if**:

- You have a full, clean drivers licence and access to a vehicle.
- You read and write in your spare time.
- You have an understanding of photo, video and audio editing platforms.
- You can demonstrate previous experience of marketing techniques.

**Further details about the role**:

- Reporting to: Head of Strategy
- Based in: Wantage, Oxfordshire. Travel may be required during peak wedding fair/show season and to liaise effectively with marketing clients locally and across the UK.
- Hybrid working: 1 day from home, 4 days from our offices.
- Hours: Full time. Our usual working hours are 9-5 Mon-Fri. The role will involve some ad hoc work on weekends and evenings to coincide with our wedding fairs and business awards.
- Holiday: 20 days holiday plus all bank holidays.
- Salary: £18-20k per annum depending on experience.
