**FILM & SMART SURFACE SOLUTIONS (F&SSS)**

We are Film & Smart Surface Solutions (F&SSS) and currently active in more than 50 countries. Our main production location is in the UK, with plans in place to realise a second production location in Asia. Our R&D and Technical centres are already in all three territories, Americas, Asia and Europe.

Our target for the F&SSS division is to become the market leader in the in-mold electronics space for the automotive industry. It capitalizes on emerging trends in human-machine interfaces, displays and in-mold electronics. The division combines our extensive offering of speciality films for the industrial and automotive industries with our developing portfolio of flexible and formable conductive and non-conductive inks. The combination of these products with our in-depth materials and process expertise enables our customers to create formed, structurally rigid three dimensional automotive controls and displays that are at the forefront of modern cockpit aesthetics and functionality. **Job Purpose**:
The purpose of the Buyer will be to manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiate delivery terms with potential and current suppliers and manage a sourcing strategy for each category.

**Responsibilities**:

- Procure products for the business in order to meet set timescales.
- Work closely with suppliers, subcontractors & services providers to reduce total acquisition cost.
- Negotiation of purchase prices and supply agreements with suppliers for UK production.
- Dispute resolution.
- Performance and risk management in the supply chain for UK production.
- Vendor rating and appraisals for UK production.
- Legal and regulatory compliance for purchased goods.
- Invoice queries.
- Maintenance of the company ERP Business system.
- Satisfaction of ISO9001, IATF16949 and AS9100 purchase requirements e.g. site audits.
- Additional duties as and when required for company purchasing.

**Experience and Competencies**:

- Purchasing experience
- Experience using a computer based ordering system (preferably SAP)
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem solving abilities
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
- Commercially and financially aware
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to “read” the market, analyse macro-level information and assess opportunities and risks
- Able to build and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
- Experience in collecting and analysing data
