Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to be office based in Inverness as well as site based throughout the local area. Full time or part time hours will be considered, minimum 3 days per week.

This is a varied role and duties include:

- Operate as a focal point for all Health, Safety activities both in house and on site
- Liaise with Site Managers to ensure compliance with all HSE requirements.
- Support Managers with incident investigation, keeping appropriate and up to date records.
- Keep records of inspections findings and recommend improvements.
- Implementing actions to meet requirements.
- Undertake site inspections and provide feedback.
- Actively support the health & safety induction process including on site.
- Oversee training as required.
- Assist Managers in producing risk assessments, ensuring all activities have been risk assessed. Ensure proactive reporting.
- Management of all computerised and hard copy records.
- Updating training records including expiration dates.
- Managing all required site access documents.
- Document Management of all HSE documentation.
- Updating equipment and testing registers.
- Preparation of Site safety files.
- Maintenance of building fire alarm testing.

**Person Specification**
- H&S qualification (NEBOSH/BSC/SVQ)
- Industry experience with construction/trade background preferred.
- Experience of implementing HSE management systems.
- Experience of risk assessments (General / COSHH / Fire / Unplanned Events).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail in all record keeping.
- Excellent IT skills.
