**Job Title**:Contract Monitoring Officer

**Location**:Lister Hospital, Stevenage, SG1 4AB

**Hours/ Shift Pattern**:37.5 hours a week (rota based with the following shifts)

7am-3pm, 9am-5pm and 11am-7pm (including some weekends)

**About the Trust**

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust provide services to the local community to around 500,000 people, with the regional cancer centre supporting around 2 million people. They provide care to the community with an annual budget of around £350 million and more than 5,000 staff.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Monitor the performance of external contracts and internal service provision for services managed by the facilities contracts team (includes cleaning, pest control, linen and other associated services e.g., hygiene services).
- Undertake cleanliness inspections in wards/departments on a routine and ad-hoc basis.
- Review monthly contractor reports and support the Service Manager in validating contractual performance.
- Review contractor auditing and helpdesk data on a daily basis identifying and reporting any areas for improvement.

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills

- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous admin experience
- Previous NHS experience
