Proud to be a British-based manufacturer, we produce low-to-medium volume plastic injection moulded components from our production facility in Kingswinford.

Since its inception in 2005, the company has gone from strength-to-strength and now employs 50 members of staff at its head office at Pensnett Trading Estate.

We are currently looking to grow our expanding team by recruiting a **HR Officer **with Health and Safety experience.

**Responsibilities**

To provide an effective Human Resources support service, including expert advice on a wide range of HR related matters

To be responsible for the company’s day-to-day HR activities in a busy office environment

Have the ability to provide coherent and clear advice to colleagues

Ensure that the company stays up to date with current HR policies and best practice legislation

Provide administrative support on all HR related matters

Responsible for the recruitment and selection process, including organising interviews, preparing offer letters, issuing contracts of employment, conducting reference checks and onboarding new employees

Evaluate and review HR policies and procedures, ensuring that RP continues to stay up to date with all statutory regulations

Maintain all HR records, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and GDPR laws

Assist with employee relations where necessary, including disciplinary and grievance issues

General responsibilities, including monitoring staff absence, processing annual leave requests and organising employee appraisals

Ideally, we are looking for someone who also has a strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements within the workplace. Specifically, we would like someone who can

1. Identify risk within the business and provide the necessary solutions

2. Generate risk assessments and communicate their findings effectively to management

3. Identify and access relevant health and safety training needs

5. Provide guidance to ensure that all staff and visitors work in a safe environment

6. Ensure that the company continues to comply with its legal obligations under current law

7. Contribute to all internal and external audits

8. Implement the necessary changes which result from these audits

**Skills**

CIPD qualification, or be well on the way to completing

2+ years of experience within an HR business environment

Should have demonstrable experience within a generalist HR Officer role

Experience of advising on employee related matters

Experience of using HR systems and databases, and managing large amounts of data

Understanding of Health and Safety within the workplace, and can advise and lead on best practice and implementation

Should be comfortable communicating with employees at all levels, including senior management

Must have attention to detail and a methodical approach

Must demonstrate diplomacy, tact, trustworthiness and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information

Strong computer literacy, with experience of Excel, Word and database management
