Support Assistant

Enhance Healthcare has an exciting opportunity within Townend Care for a Support Assistant working with adults with a learning disability.
Townend Care is looking for someone with the following skills
- Experience of working with Autism /Learning Disability
- Experience of working with younger adults
- Understanding of gender identities
- Can Maintain and expand on life skills for the younger adult such as personal care, housekeeping, budgeting etc.
- Can support the young adult in maintaining community links
- Can support and encourage the young adult with their activities such as visiting the gym, gaming and can encourage new interest.
- Can support the younger person with maintaining their links with their family.
- Work with and support the younger adult to achieve their own goals using positive risk.
- Work together with the the younger adult and their Multi Disciplinary team.
- A willingness to develop your own personal journey through supporting younger adults through Enhance Healthcare and outside agencies
Experience of electronic care planning would be advantageous although not a necessity.
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 44 per week
