We are now looking for a Community Skills Coordinator to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term contract to work with people in St Austell and Redruth on what matters to them. This role will have evening and weekend commitments.

**The Role**

As the Community Skills Coordinator you will design and deliver courses for people to develop skills that matter to them. You willoversee projects run in partnership with The Cornwall College Group and Seetec Pluss for the Community Learning and Multiply programmes. You will build strong relationships with new and existing partners to facilitate inter-partnership purchasing of educational courses. You will be qualified, or willing to work towards Level 3 Adult Education and Training award. You will be responsible for line managing tutors, both employed and self-employed, and supporting them to deliver courses in non-judgemental, trauma informed ways.

You will support the active recruitment of new learners, complete administrative tasks associated with running courses and recruiting learners. You may be qualified in Internal Quality Assurance (IQA), or be willing to work towards the qualification. You will join the Coordinator team, supporting Managers with report writing, supporting delivery teams and supporting cross-organisational working to provide the best support possible for community members.

**About You**

To join us as a Community Skills Coordinator, you will need:

- Experience of administration required in an Educational setting.
- To be able to work independently and as part of a team
- A Level 3 Award in Education and Training, or willingness to work towards the qualification
- Understand how to overcome the barriers for people from disadvavntaged communities and for people facing multiple and complex needs
- Have an understanding of the need for confidentiality and equal opportunities
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Have experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs
- Ability to arrange and deliver community activities
- A creative approach to problem solving
- A high level of time management and planning skills
- Ability to motivate people to make positive change
- Able to perform to targets and deadlines
- Ability to manage competing demands
- Computer proficiency
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends
- Good communication skills
- Level 2 English and Maths qualification, or willingness to work towards a Level 2

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle would also be desirable.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on an initial fixed-term 12 month contract.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends will be required, as will the ability to travel to different locations at short notice.
