Glamorgan, United Kingdom Digital Health and Care Wales Full time

The Digital Change Delivery Network (DCDN) is a newly funded programme designed to increase capability to drive forward digital change and transformation. Its goal is to revolutionise the way systems are deployed across NHS Wales. A network of broadly skilled, qualified Business Change practitioners will create best practice in the deployment of digital services that will transform the way citizens receive care. Together, we will influence and inform the shape and content of the Network, rolling out products and designing the service improvement tools and cascading these skills across Wales.

The Change Ambassador Facilitator role will deliver a range of learning and organisational development interventions across NHS Wales to improve the organisational change culture and development of staff.

This post is fixed term / secondment until march 2026 due to funding

The post holder is required to lead in the identification of training, education, and development needs for the Change Ambassador Certificate. You will focus on facilitation and co-ordination of the internal and external training and advise on the Change Ambassador Certificate Qualification. The post holder will also deliver training within various disciplines of Change Management for all staff involved.

The role will work with universities, colleges, and training providers on the provision of a robust Change Management learning and development scheme with staff and other organisations. The post holder will provide internal verification and standardisation assessment for the delivery of the Change Ambassador accredited learning programmes within DHCW, and to work across NHS Wales and work with senior managers on how to embed these within the wider NHS Wales organisations.

It is essential that you possess the ability to deliver and support the engagement and contribute to progress reporting in line with project governance.

You will role model and drive a patient first culture by providing expertise in change management strategies, acting as a champion, and promoting digital ways of working, supporting a culture of continuous improvement, service development, and transformation.

Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) is part of the NHS Wales family and has an important role in changing the way health and care services are delivered through technology and data. The organisation supports frontline staff with modern systems and access to important information about their patients, while empowering the people of Wales to manage their own health through digital NHS Wales services.

Working for DHCW offers lots of employee benefits, including flexible working, a competitive salary, 28 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays and opportunities for career development. We are committed to recognising and celebrating our staff as the most valuable part of our organisation.

Join our game changing, life-saving team and start making a real difference to health and care services in Wales.

The role will support the Head of Business Change and the programme manager with development and facilitation of work in relation to leadership development, team development, change methodology, and organisational change.

We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, can work autonomously, and is skilled in maintaining constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

To facilitate the production of a concise and engaging training plan, the post holder will work with the course attendees to understand training requirements. Therefore, you must be skilled in identifying and translating learning needs, adapting training approaches as appropriate to ensure end users are confident and competent.

You will have excellent communication and influencing skills and experience in the development of visual management tools and Lean methodologies would be advantageous.

This is a national role that will require travelling to multiple sites across Wales. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this.

Some anti-social hours may be required to fit in with clinical staff shifts, and you may be asked to stay away from home for a night or two if the distance to the site would impact your health and wellbeing.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
