The role will deliver a range of learning and organisational development interventions across the organisation that have been identified through the Digital Change Delivery Network strategy helping to improve the organisational change culture and development of staff in NHS Wales.

The role will support the Head of Business Change with design, development, facilitation, and evaluation of work in relation to leadership development, team development, Coaching and Mentoring methodology, and organisational Coaching and Mentoring networks.

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM / SECONDMENT UNTIL MARCH 2026 DUE TO FUNDING.

The post holder is required to lead in the identification of training, education, and development needs for the Coaching and Mentoring Programme. You will focus on facilitation and co-ordination of the internal and external training and advise on the Coaching and Mentoring Programmes and qualifications. The post holder will also deliver training within various disciplines of Coaching and Mentoring for all staff involved.

The role will work with universities, colleges, and NHS Wales organisations on the provision of a robust Coaching and Mentoring learning and development scheme with staff and other organisations and provide internal verification and standardisation assessment for the delivery of the Coaching and Mentoring accredited learning programmes within DHCW and to work across Wales and work with senior managers on how to embed these within the wider NHS Wales organisations.

It is essential that you possess the ability to deliver and support the engagement and contribute to progress reporting in line with project governance.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

You will role model and drive a patient first culture by providing expertise in coaching and mentoring strategies, acting as a champion, and promoting digital ways of working, supporting a culture of continuous improvement, service development, and transformation.

We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, can work autonomously, and is skilled in maintaining constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

To facilitate the production of a concise and engaging training plan, the post holder will work with the course attendees to understand training requirements. Therefore, you must be skilled in identifying and translating learning needs, adapting training approaches as appropriate to ensure end users are confident and competent.

You will have excellent communication and influencing skills and experience in the development of visual management tools and Change methodologies would be advantageous.

This is a national role that will require travelling to multiple sites across Wales.

Some anti-social hours may be required to fit in with clinical staff shifts, and you may be asked to stay away from home for a night or two if the distance to the site would impact your health and wellbeing.
