**Responsible for**: Operating and maintaining all aspects of reception area and entrance to its entirety.
**Responsible to**: Supervisors and Managers

**Overview**
As a receptionist you are the first point of contact for all customers and visitors of Planet Ice. You will provide a professional and efficient service. You will also be required to wear the correct uniform, looking presentable at all times.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

2. Any problems/faults in regard to health and safety must immediately reported to your supervisor.
3. Operating tills - Handling cash, cheques, PDQ machine.
4. Attendance to staff training sessions is imperative.
5. Full knowledge of information being delivered i.e., prices, opening times, lessons, parties and special promotions.
6. To answer all telephone calls in a polite and friendly manner assisting with any queries and responding to messages.
7. To accurately handle cash, cheque and credit card transaction.
8. Receive and sign out the floats, prepare the tills and complete all checks prior to opening.
9. To assist in controlling the customers upon entry into the facility, ensuring that all health & safety recommendations are adhered to.
11. To take group bookings, party and lesson bookings, ensure all confirmation/deposits are complete.
12. To maintain the highest possible standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
13. To attain, record and safety store away any lost property found or lost within Planet Ice.
14. To assist with paperwork or administration required. i.e., databases etc
15. Ensure the reception area is clean and tidy at all times.
16. Inform management of any customer issues/complaints.
17. Completed tasks include opening and closing check sheets.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £7.97-£10.25 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
