_**Vacancy - Customs Clearance Coordinator**_

**The Need-to-Knows**
- Reporting to: Customs Team Leader
- Location: Liverpool, Manchester or Doncaster
- Working hours: full time 37.5 hours per week, Role may require some out of hours where necessary at weekends or bank holidays, agreed with line manager in advance.
- **The Role**:

- Working within the freight forwarding division of 3PL provider Denholm Good Logistics, as part of a team that handles all aspects of customs brokerage requirements externally for customers and internally as part of our Customs brokerage CoE (Centre of Excellence).
- Experience of Customs Entries preferred but full Training will be provided as part of this role.
- The role will be part of the Customs Brokerage team within Denholm Good Logistics.

**The Day-to-Day**
- Complete all Customs entries from start to finish for imports and exports.
- Liaise with Port Health and Customs officials on document checks.
- Checking import tariffs and trade agreements Dealing with various modes of transport - Road, Air and Sea.
- Dealing with a variety of commodities.
- Receipt and process of inbound SCDP.
- Deal with all queries quickly and efficiently.
- Build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete customs procedures codes and implement efficiencies where Possible.
- Invoicing customers.
- Raise issues of non-compliance and ensure remedial action is completed in accordance with customs regulations and UK/ International law.
- Ensure all invoicing (notably VAT and Duty invoices) is completed in a timely manner.

- Familiarisation with customs processes and systems
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
