A skilled Bookkeeper / Office Administrator Support is needed to join the team at this leading fire consultancy company based in St Albans. They are a dynamic multi-disciplinary practice at the leading edge of fire engineering design, research and risk management.

You will have proven bookkeeping skills, an excellent telephone manner, strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to demonstrate good use of initiative and attention to detail.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and manage payment schedule
- Raise invoices
- Process invoices for payment
- Follow up on outstanding invoices
- Support time sheet/time billing process
- Input data into the company account software package
- Prepare VAT returns and supporting data
- Process expenses claims, mileage claims and petty cash
- Support management accounting process with key data and reports
- Monitor progress against pre-determined budgets and in particular project costs and budgets

**Required Skills**:

- MS Word
- MS Excel
- Mac OS X (or later)
- Basic DBS check will be required
