**GRADE 5: £11.18- £11.39 per hour**
**HOURS OF WORK**:8.00am - 4.00pm Monday - Thursday,
8.00am - 3.30pm Friday
**FULL TIME/PART TIME**: 37 hours per week, term time plus 4 weeks
**POST STATUS**: Permanent
**LOCATION**: Shrewsbury

**PURPOSE**:
To support a select group of Trust schools with their day to day finance needs.
**RESPONSIBLE TO**
Financial Controller
**OUTLINE OF THE ROLE**
To provide administrative support to the finance function and act as first point of contact for purchase ledger transactions for a selection of the Trust’s school.
**MAIN ACTIVITIES TO THE PARTICULAR DUTIES**:
- Responsible for the processing of all purchase orders and invoices for your allocated schools ensuring they are recorded accurately on the Trust’s accounting system and distributing to budget holders for authorisation.
- Checking invoices are authorised in accordance with the scheme of delegation for inclusion in supplier payment runs.
- Contact with suppliers in relation to invoicing and payment queries.
- Raising of sales invoices for services following a request from budget holders.
- Providing support for the Finance Officer and Financial Controller in the processing of supplier payment runs.
This post will be based in Shrewsbury with the expectation that the post holder will travel between their selected schools as and when required. Initial training will take place at the Trust’s central offices in Oswestry.
**DEVELOPING SELF AND LEADING OTHERS**
- It is expected that the post holder will complete AAT studies (funded by the Marches Academy Trust).
- Take responsibility for own professional development including maintaining an up to date knowledge of developments and related legislation including engaging fully in performance management of self and other staff (if applicable).
- Contribute to effective staff induction and professional development.
- Manage own workload, providing support where necessary and delegating where appropriate.
- Ensure that professional duties are fulfilled, as identified in regular line management meetings and appraisal meetings.
