**What will the apprentice be doing?**

The types of finance activities you will be supported to learn and get involved in:

- Learning how to produce monthly management information making use of the Trust financial systems
- Post accounting journals to correctly reflect the financial position of differing parts of the Trust organisation and support the delivery of a completed set of draft budget reports for review each month
- You will also be supported to plan, organise and manage your time effectively, on a day to day basis, whilst working as part of a team
- You will actively engage with all aspects of the study programme and submit assignments, to the required standard within the agreed deadlines. There will be lots of opportunity to join in learning events and activities, in the workplace that will also support your professional and personal development

**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**

The Finance Apprentice will be the given the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team and will be supported to complete the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification as part of the Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Assistant accountant / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education.

- A career in finance
