**Company description**
Hdc requires a Sales & Marketing Assistant to join their happy and busy team. This position reports to the Sales & Marketing Manager.
Annual Salary of £19,000 plus 10% bonus, private healthcare insurance, pension scheme.
This role is split into 2 as per the following:
Selling Season - September to June
During these months the main focus is sales, following up new business leads, retaining existing customers and creating and carrying out marketing plans. The main duties for this time would be:
- Deal with incoming calls - customers may have product enquiries or require information on current orders.
- Telesales campaigns - includes chasing orders from existing customers, gathering information for new mailing campaigns. Following up campaigns.
- Show initiative on the phone by up-selling. The Sales & Marketing assistant should promote extra products and the benefits of adding extras.
- Create, build and maintain relationships with existing customers by providing an excellent and efficient service.
- Prepare quotations for new enquiries and follow them up on a regular basis
- Create call backs
- Organise workload
- Able to meet targets and deadlines on a regular basis can work in a team as well as show initiative
Diary season - June to September
During diary season when the schools are closed for the summer, we move into the production/admin side of the role where you would be working on the following:
- Confirming out existing artwork
- Proof Reading
- Order Processing
- Data Management
- Chasing and following up proofs from customers
- Filing
- Sending and Chasing payment of invoices
Responding to queries and problem solving
This role requires a person with a mature and professional manner who is open minded, down to earth, proactive and bright. It is important that the person can remain calm under pressure.
The following education and competencies are required to fulfil the position:
- Educated with Higher Maths and English (required)
- Graduate in Marketing (Desireable)
- at least 2 years Admin/Customer service/ telesales experience (required)
- Experience working in a sales environment (Desireable)
- Excellent communication skills - including telephone manner and listening skills
- An outgoing personality with good interpersonal skills
- Experience in checking other people’s work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
