**The Role**

We are looking for a Reservations & Events Office Co-ordinator who would enjoy working in a luxury Historic Hotel environment. The Reservationist & Events Office Co-ordinator will work with the Sales Office Manager to ensure that reservations and all events are dealt with efficiently and to carry out effective room management to maximise room revenue.

**Overview of the role**
- Provide up to date booking information for the weekly/monthly forecast for both Reservations and Events information

**Reservations**
- Be fully conversant with opera booking systems
- Communicate with reception at all times and assist where necessary
- Check all correspondence in connection with reservations and deal with accordingly
- Be fully aware of all types of bedrooms, all their facilities and locations
- Be able to offer an alternative (i.e. date, type of room) if we cannot provide what our caller requires
- Ensure that restricted dates, offer rates and promotions are updated and monitored on a daily basis
- Run all appropriate reports connected with rooms as laid down in the Reservations Manual and distributed to the GM and FOH Manager - as agreed with your manager
- Work in accordance with the room’s strategy

**Events**
- Sales conversion, profit generation and a successful event are your priorities
- Maximise opportunities through questioning and listening techniques
- Think Sales and actively research leads from all enquiries
- Manage and convert all incoming enquiries in accordance with Hotels brand standards
- Prepare all admin/stationery requirements to ensure the clients event is a success e.g. signage/ table plans/menus/place cards
- You are a specialist in weddings, private events and special occasions
- Produce accurate timely correspondence in line with company brand standards e.g. proposals/contracts
- Make sure via the Events Order and weekly planning meetings that operations understand the objective of the event and how we can exceed expectations for the organiser and guests
- Ensure an effective handover between the client and operational team and attend weddings, events as required

**ESSENTIAL**

knowledge of Hotel Reservations systems

Previous Events & Wedding Co-ordinator experience

Ability to work as part of a team

Reliable, Efficient and pro-active

Previous experience in a service role in delivering 5-star guest service

Confident and effective communicator who can converse at all levels

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £24,000.00 per year
