Due to an expansion in our team's responsibilities, we are seeking a Forecasting & Strategic Planning Specialist, to join our Business Performance team. What will I be doing? This is a meaningful role with an exciting opportunity to work closely with teams across OVO building a deep understanding of field fulfilment demand, improving forecast accuracy to drive internal decision-making and contributing to the effective pipeline management of capacity availability, opportunities, risks & issues. You will use strong analytical and critical thinking skills to develop forecasts across multiple product areas. As our Forecasting & Strategic Planning Specialist, you will play an integral role within Operations, helping senior leaders understand what we have to deliver, when, where and the best match to available capacity. The key responsibilities for the role are: Develop and sustain up-to-date worktype-specific geographically based short-term and long-term forecast models (incremental and absolute), reflecting current data/information/assumptions. Ensure effective management of the demand and capacity pipelines across all products and areas by centralising forecasts, and leading internal communications with key stakeholders. Perform and share analysis of Field fulfilment activity to improve quality of decision making by Supplier Management, Finance and operational teams. Lead the build-out of a skills-led capacity planning capability focused on skills segmentation, strategic workforce planning forecasting and buy, build, borrow plans to close gaps. Accept ownership for the timely delivery of robust forecasts during all planning cycles (Outlooks/Budgets/Mid-Year latest estimates) within Field Services covering demand & capacity, ensuring proactive clear and concise articulation and storytelling of respective forecasts within set deadlines. Analysis of baseline, using statistical methods to improve accuracy where possible Provide on-going critique, analysis and measurement of demand plan accuracy Work with Forecasting Manager to build forecasting capabilities and identify and drive cross-brand multi-product forecasting process efficiencies and automations, including influencing the success of Anaplan by positioning Anaplan to drive business value in areas of forecast accuracy and reducing forecast bias. Understand and present the weighted value proposition for all Field fulfilment work types, supporting better quality decisions to overcome imbalances between demand and capacity. Work with colleagues across Field Services to understand data requirements and associated calculation logic, and translate data and calculation requirements into forecast model designs Contribute to your development and the teams’ technical skills by demonstrating inclusive behaviours and establishing a culture of highest performing teams Is this the job for me?
