The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will require daily interactions with staff, management, and external suppliers and contractors. You will support the Chief Financial Officer and work with external accountants in the delivery of the company’s finance and administrative functions. The role involves:

- General bookkeeping tasks using Xero - processing invoices and payments, coding transactions, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations
- Other finance tasks depending on experience, for example:

- Completing consolidated group VAT returns
- Payroll and pensions operations
- Generating cost reports, management accounts and budget reports
- Banking operations
- Administration tasks, including:

- Sourcing quotes and placing orders for goods and services
- Monitoring stocks of equipment and consumables
- Administering external communications with landowners, stakeholders and suppliers
- Assisting with general staff administration (travel, rosters, timesheets, expenses, annual leave, etc)
- General office organisation and administrative support to the CEO and operational staff.
- UK resident / right to work
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping / financial role
- Good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errors
- Strong numeracy and administrative skills
- Computer literacy, especially familiarity with Excel and Xero or other accounting software
- Good multi-tasking and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a small team
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental best practices.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £14,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 12 - 40 per week
