This is a fantastic opportunity for a hard working, diligent individual with a can-do attitude.

The main purpose of this role will be to ensure the Yard and Stores areas are kept tidy and to control and maintain stock levels and make a significant contribution to the efficient running of the Stores and Yard areas.

This role will involve an element of manual handling as well as using relevant equipment to load and unload deliveries and maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
- Assist in the smooth running of the Stores
- Responsible for the goods in and out and ensuring materials returned from sites are stored in the appropriate area
- Maintain a clean and tidy Yard and Stores area at all times
- Manage and control stock levels
- Assist in maintaining an electronic register
- Carry out stock takes and report to Line Manager on a monthly basis ensuring integrity of information produced
- Assist in oversight of concrete batching plant
- Assist in internal and external audits
- Achieve targets set by senior management and reporting on progress
- Participate in any necessary training to enhance or improve performance
- Take responsibility for those aspects of OH&S management and assist QHSE Systems Manager in improving OH&S performance and promoting compliance throughout the Company
- Promote a strong Health & Safety Culture
- Any other related duties/tasks assigned as and when required

Working Pattern:

- Contract Type - Permanent, Full-time
- Hours of work - 0630 start - 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Overtime - Regular

REQUIREMENTS: Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience working in a Yard/Stores/Warehouse environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Computer literate
- Ability to work well in a team
- Pro-active can-do attitude
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Forklift tickets (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)
