**About the role**

JFD is looking to recruit a Workshop Yard Controller to work on a permanent basis from our office in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. As Workshop Yard Controller you will undertake general duties of a semi-skilled and labouring nature associated with the company’s products and services as instructed by the Workshop Manager. You will control and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the workshop and yard area and co-ordinate lifting operations in the area.

As a Workshop Yard Controller, you will be responsible for the following:

- To organize and keep clean and tidy workshop and yard areas as well as the upkeep and maintenance of buildings and surrounding areas.
- Control and monitor Workshop PPE and consumables including ordering material via purchasing.
- Assist material controller with repairs receipt, co coordinating and dispatching.
- Liaising with visitors to ensure correct safety procedures are followed when in workshop or yard area.
- Co-ordinate lifting operations in a safe manner as per company procedures.
- Monitor and control gas hire equipment monthly.
- Update system tools and software to keep test equipment up-to-date and in calibration.
- Maintenance of workshop assets and input into qpulse system.

**What do you need?**
- Experience within a production workshop and yard
- Folk lift license
- Banksman slinger
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office
