Homes2Inspire are looking for enthusiastic, caring and motivated individuals to join Belinda Ferrison House. Homes2Inspire specialise in working with young people and families, and have comprehensive experience in providing specialist, welfare and educational based support, interventions and guidance to children and young people in various settings.

Belinda Ferrison House offers Care-leavers from the ages of 17-25 years, the support and guidance to enable a successful transition into independent living with the care and encouragement of a dedicated staffing team. This staffing team within Belinda Ferrison House will assess the needs of the young people and assist them with the skills required to live independently, including managing finances, building relationships, and domestic skills.

The role of Youth Intervention Co-Coordinator involves working with the young people in BFH to assess the needs, co-ordination, preparation and completion of Pathway Plans and providing guidance, advice and support to young people preparing for living independently into adulthood.

As a residential provision this is a 52 week/24-hour service. You will be required to work flexibly to suit the needs of the young people. The hours of work will fall between 8am-8pm on Monday to Friday and 9am-2pm on Saturday.

**You will also be required to**:
To ensure the protection and safeguard the wellbeing of the young people in our care.

Demonstrate to the young people the value of education, care and development to achieve better outcomes. Authoritatively and empathetically, challenge young people to help them avoid being without employment, education and training. This will involve liaison and joint working with independent and third sector providers.

Work with young people on issues such as resilience, self-esteem and confidence building.

Build and create mutual trust and respect with young people in order that they respond and react appropriately to information and advice. This will involve attendance at meetings and include visits to young people’s home, education establishments, prisons and courts.

Review referrals into the provisions, attend placement meetings and induct the young people into the provision.

Control and analyse the young people’s behaviour to encourage them to participate in a positive structured routine. This will involve individual and group sessions.

Provide basic advice and skills to young people on managing their finances and other everyday life skills to support their move to independence.

Maintain timely and accurate recording on the young person’s file and other relevant records, to ensure that there is an accurate record of work undertaken with young people that they can understand and that assists other professionals working in partnership.
