About the Role

Aquarius is seeking a skilled Practitioner to join our NGAGE Young People's Service in Northampton. As a key member of our team, you will provide advice, assessments, and interventions to support young people aged 10-18 who are struggling with drug and alcohol use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and provide relevant advice to young people and their families
  • Develop and deliver brief and structured interventions, including group programs
  • Manage a caseload and work collaboratively with external agencies to provide a comprehensive service
  • Provide harm minimization advice and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with service users, families, and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes
Requirements
  • Qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies)
  • Experience of working in the substance misuse field, with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care
  • Good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health-related issues
  • Ability to work professionally with service users, families, and external agencies
  • Flexible approach, commitment to confidentiality, and excellent record-keeping skills
