We take pride in delivering and assembling furniture carefully to ensure customer satisfaction. We seek a dynamic and flexible Delivery Person to join our team.
**About you**
As a Delivery Person at Squire Furnishings Ltd., you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery and assembly of furniture to our valued customers. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, customer-focused, and eager to please every day.
This job will usually require you to work 2-3 days a week, with the opportunity of extra days if required.
Working days will mostly be on the road delivering around the Skegness to Mablethorpe areas, wider Lincolnshire, and the surrounding counties.
The working day usually starts at 09:00 am at our yard in Hogsthorpe with the finish time varying depending on how busy the day is. We usually aim for you to finish between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, but this is only a guide.
Longer days and later finishes are quite rare, but we need keen, motivated, people on our team who take this in their stride.

**What you'll do**
- Work as part of a 2-man team delivering and assembling furniture
- Share responsibilities with your mate to help create a dynamic team
- Complete tasks set by management to the best of your ability
- Be conscientious in everything you do, ensuring you represent our core values of hard work, honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Help make sure your work van is tidy and clean, inside and out
- Provide excellent customer service on deliveries, being polite and couteous at all times
- Deal with incoming and outgoing deliveries in a professional manner
- Make sure all paperwork is signed and returned with any relevant comments
- Adhere to the Squire Furnishings code of conduct at all times
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Delivery and Assembly**:
Safely load and unload furniture items for delivery.
Deliver furniture to customers' homes in a timely and professional manner.
Assemble and set up furniture according to manufacturer instructions.
Ensure the furniture is placed in the desired location, and the customer is satisfied with the setup.
**Customer Service**:
Speak to customers warmly and carry out your duty in a professional manner.
Address customer issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the entire delivery experience.
**Inventory Management**:
Report damaged, faulty, or missing items to the management team.

**Qualifications**:
- Experience in delivering and assembling furniture.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy furniture items.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and at short notice as required.
- Customer-focused mindset and a willingness to go the extra mile to please customers.
**What you'll receive**
Our basic rate is £11.00 per hour (starting on 8-24 hours per week - with more hours during the Summer season), plus a generous 20% staff discount, as well as the option to enroll in our company pension scheme.
