**The opportunity**

We’ve got an exciting permanent opportunity for the right person to join our Workforce Development team in the position of Senior Workforce and Organisation Development Adviser. It’s a chance to be appointed to a role where you can make a difference to our people’s experience, our current and future workforce, our organisation and ultimately the community we serve.

You’ll play a key role in our Workforce Development team, championing instrumental changes across the organisation through the delivery of strategic initiatives that will enhance the Council’s performance through its people. You’ll partner with colleagues in embedding a learning culture where everyone wants to take ownership for their own personal growth while creating modern, interesting and bite size ways in which to learn, that recognises and takes into account individual learning styles, because we want a blend of options that our people can choose from.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Council you’ll use your creative and innovative skill set to design and develop effective talent and workforce strategies targeted at ensuring that we have the right people with the right skills at the right time so that we can meet customer demand and provide a service that rivals others. **The role**

You’ll have experience of a wide range of organisational development and learning initiatives and solutions which will inspire a learning culture. You’ll have successfully demonstrated your ability to support business change and develop initiatives that support service improvement and employee growth.

We’re looking for a colleague who has an excellent understanding of engaging people in organisational and individual development, who is excited about promoting and embedding new ways to learn. You’ll have a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways in which to modernise and make learning something that is always interesting and meaningful. You’ll make data driven decisions and produce reports highlighting how we can future proof the Council by ensuring that our offer is adaptable, and our approach tailored to meet the aspirations of a diverse and inclusive workforce.

**The salary**

The starting salary for this role is £43,516 rising to £46,549 (pay award pending).
