Transport Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for **Transport Coordinator** to join our Transport division, based at our main office in Linwood. This is a full-time, permanent position covering 40 hours per week from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities will include**:
- Planning and confirming daily routes
- Liaising with drivers to ensure high level of customer service and efficiency are reached and maintained
- Liaising with external contractors to secure additional operatives if required
- Assisting and understanding of other Transport Controller’s roles and providing cover when required
- Logging and maintaining customer database on company CRM system.
- Strong IT literacy skills and a good understanding of all Microsoft Office systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Good geographical knowledge of the East and Central Scotland
- Excellent time management skills
- A polite and conscientious telephone manner
- Excellent administration and organisational abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Eye for detail
- Team player.
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Experience working within a Transport department
- Experience working within the waste management industry is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
**Salary and Benefits**:
- Earn up to £ 36,000 per annum
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 8am
- 5pm
- 26 days and 4 statutory days holiday
- Holidays increase with length of service
