Job Description

**Job Title:** Yard Operations Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yard Operations Specialist to join our team at Enva. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of our Glenrothes yard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Manage Hazardous Site Operations:** Ensure that all hazardous site operations are managed in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and Enva standards.
  • **Maintain Accurate Records:** Ensure that all duties are carried out and recorded as per company and manufacturer's instructions and procedures.
  • **Assist in Day-to-Day Operations:** Assist in the day-to-day operations of the plant in accordance with site license and contractual conditions.
  • **Sort and Separate Waste:** Sort and separate waste types to ensure plant performance is at its highest.
  • **Operate Specialized Plant:** Training will be given on specialized plant.
  • **Maintain Cleanliness:** Maintain the highest cleanliness of all working areas.
  • **Report Defects:** Ensure that any defect affecting the safe working order of a machine is reported immediately.
  • **Wear Personal Protective Equipment:** Ensure that the correct Personal Protective Equipment, as provided by the Company, is worn at all times.
  • **Maintain Awareness:** Remain aware, at all times, of your responsibilities for your own Health and Safety and for the Health and Safety of your work colleagues.
  • **Carry Out Other Tasks:** Carry out other tasks within your operational ability or for which you have received appropriate training, as and when required.
  • **Ensure Compliance:** Ensure compliance with all company work practices as directed.
  • **Operate Mobile Plant:** Operate mobile plant and other plant equipment safely and competently where trained, instructed, and qualified to do so.
  • **Assist with General Operations:** Assist with the general operations as required and instructed.

  • **Loading Waste Transport Vehicles:** Loading waste transport vehicles.
  • **Operation of Plant and Machinery:** Operation of plant and machinery.
  • **Controlling Vehicle Movement:** Controlling Vehicle Movement.
  • **Reporting and Recording of Information:** Reporting and Recording of Information.
  • **Supervision of Operations:** Supervision of Operations.
  • **Mentoring and Coaching:** Mentoring and Coaching.
  • **Risk Assessment:** Risk Assessment.
