Investigo are working with a large organisation within the energy sector to assist with the recruitment of a new Accounts Payable Associate into their growing finance team. This role is based out of their Westminster offices and they are currently operatinga hybrid work model including two or three days working from home.

This role is ideally suited for an ambitious, commercially minded and proactive accounts payable professional that can demonstrate a track record of process improvement.

The role requires someone who can exercise initiative, demonstrate independence of thought and behaviour and have the flexibility and competence to deal with a range of different challenges, projects and stakeholders.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Process invoices and expense claims through SAP and trading system.
- Arrange daily payment runs in SAP via BACS and CHAPS.
- Liaise with other members of the team and Commercial Business units to resolve systems issues, payables queries and outstanding invoice issues
- Ensure a clean AP ledger is maintained each week by preparing open payables ageing report for Finance Supervisor
- Filing of processed invoices in SAP.
- Scanning / download all AP invoices into the shared drive for easy retrievable access.
- Supporting finance team with Month end financial reporting tasks.
- Support the maintaining of General Ledger integrity and validation.
- Participate in the annual audits including providing supporting documentation and answering queries.

**Experience**
- 2 years+ Accounts Payable experience
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
- Previous experience using SAP essential
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Must be able to use initiative and possess the ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment
- Proactive and motivated person
- A strong drive to improve performance and processes.
- Proved track record of delivering quality and accurate output and value.
