Knowledge, Information & Insight Associate
**Salary**: National ranging from £49,700 to £75,500 and London from £53,300 - £84,000

The industry we regulate is an increasingly information based one - so for us to keep pace and be the regulator we need to be, we also need to access, use and manage information and records effectively. Across the FCA we all use this content, and while we know there are aspects that work well, we also have a real appetite to address some of the challenges in how we direct, source, receive, assess, and prioritise the information we have.
The team / department
Knowledge, Information & Insight (KI&I) is the central function at the FCA for information, records and knowledge management, underpinned by a workstream dedicated to supporting colleagues in achieving cultural and behavioural change. The Information Management workstream plays a critical role in the fulfilment of FCA's public duty to keep accurate records by taking the ownership of the information management policy. We are responsible for developing and implementing the policy and associated standards, procedures and guidance in line with relevant best practice. This includes assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of policy controls, and day-to-day operational management of the policy.
In Knowledge Information & Insight (KI&I) our focus is to:
- Understand where information is held within the organisation, make sure that it is managed in line with our policies and join the dots to ensure the right people know the right things at the right time- Ensure knowledge management is effectively led and coordinated within the FCA and that the knowledge life-cycle is being effectively managed throughout the organisation- Promote a mindset of curiosity and continuous improvement in our people- Ensure one of our key records management system, SharePoint, is fit for the business.
What you will doing (the role)- Supporting the Technical Specialist leading KI&I’s Information Management (IM) workstream and contributing to the FCA’s vision for information and records management- Supporting the work to design, deliver, embed and continuously improve the priority areas of the IM policy: organisation-wide rollout & training, maturity assessment, policy assurance, and control evaluation- Contributing to the overall programme to implement the FCA’s IM policy, including taking ownership of and driving forward key constituent workstreams- Working in collaboration with internal stakeholders to drive horizontal IM activities across the FCA- Collaborating with and leveraging the expertise of the Knowledge Management, Records Management and Culture workstreams in the team to ensure the FCA has a coordinated and joined up approach

The skills and experience you will have
- Minimum_- Experience working in the information/records management fields- Strong evidence of risk management experience- The ability to deliver to challenging deadlines
