Purchase Ledger and Administration Assistant - Newton Abbot - £21-23,000
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will work closely with an experienced Financial Controller and as part of a small team in a broad role that primarily focusses on accounts payable but with a range of administrative tasks in addition. Key responsibilities to include:
- Inputting purchase ledger invoices to a bespoke sector specific accounting system (full training provided)
- Matching supplier invoices to PO numbers
- Assist in the administration of supplier payment runs
- Reconciling payments against supplier invoices
- Act as a first point of contact for supplier queries
- Statement reconciliations
- Assist with aged debtor management
- Administer expenses claims
- General office administration duties and acting as an initial point of contact for inbound telephone calls
