Purchaser and Finance Assistant

We are seeking a Purchaser and Finance Assistant to join our team in Devon and take responsibility for all purchasing within the business. You will be working closely with the Measurements team, Finance team and Project Management functions. As this is a new role within Partrac, there is scope to develop the role within the business in the future.
**About you**:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience in the marine industry is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
**The Role**:
- Developing and maintaining an approved supplier register
- Implementing a Due Diligence Checks process for new suppliers
- Liaising with suppliers to set up credit accounts and identify opportunities for best value.
- Raising Purchase Orders
- Developing a robust goods received process: Checking of goods received against purchase orders, verifying receipt of remote delivery items and following up any missing/damaged items.
- Arranging delivery schedules with suppliers
- Ensuring consistency of supply chain for controlled substances (COSHH), obtaining appropriate MSDS sheets and ensuring risk assessments are performed for new controlled substances.
- Assisting with asset tracking and certification management
- Assisting with development and ongoing maintenance of inventory tracking system ensuring minimum stock levels are set and met.
- Work closely with the Operations Administrator to provide mutual support and cover for key tasks.
