**Hours: 16 or 20 Hours **per week**

**Salary: £9.70 per hour**

Come and join our team in Belfast Our property John Bell House is Student Roost Belfasts Flagship Property. This beautiful Edwardian building was built in 1906 and was fully renovated into modern student accommodation in 2016 and was Belfasts first purpose built student accommodation property. John Bell House still pays homage to its 1900s heritage, particularly with its focal point The Grand Hall.

The Grand Hall is the Common Room with oak-panelled walls, enormous stained-glass windows displaying inspirational quotes from historical figures, a mix of flexible and functional seating, as well as pool table, TV area and table tennis area. John Bell House is truly photogenic with its features such as balconies and stairways. It is a building which must be seen to be appreciated.

John Bell House has 413 rooms and is situated in the heart of Belfast City Centre, only minutes walk away from an array of eateries, coffee shops, shopping hotspots, night life and Belfast City Hall. Due to the city centre location John Bell House benefits from excellent local transport connections nearby.

Here at Student Roost, our Housekeepers are multi-tasking superstars Along with all of the on-site team in our properties, you will be the face of Student Roost for our wonderful residents, and just one of the amazing ways that we keep customer service and safety at the top of our agenda. Youll provide a first-class cleaning service within our purpose built student accommodation, and ensure that all assigned areas are clean, neat & tidy. Youll take pride in your work and have amazing attention to detail, to ensure that your property is always looking sparkling and inviting.

**Lead** / Own**:

- You will champion amongst the team the importance of a safe and clean environment for everyone within it, and always lead by example.
- Be at the front of establishing effective and suitable stock control measures. Youre the expert at what is needed and when, so it makes sense for you to take full ownership of this important requirement.

**The **not so good bits**

**Clearing up after a fun weekend-** We all like to have fun, and this is certainly true for our residents. There may be a requirement for you to clear up common space that has been partied in over the weekend. This is not a great job, but you will be provided with full PPE to make sure we are keeping you safe.

**Summer Turnaround**-** This is when our residents leave us, its the busiest time in our calendar and can involve clearing out residents room. Checking the contract cleaners are doing their jobs, and sometimes just helping out.

**Within**

**1 month** You will start to understand the culture and values of Student Roost. You will know your team members and what makes them tick. Youll have an understanding of the calendar of requirements of your property and be starting to find your rhythm of working.

**3 months** You will have met and built strong high-quality relationships with our people, residents, and colleagues. Youll be working autonomously for large parts of your working schedule and managing your own tasks. Youll have successfully developed a routine with the rest of the team on site, and youll be confident in your remit.
