This is an exciting time to join the growing team aimed at improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community.

You will play a key role providing comprehensive, effective and friendly administrative support to the team. In addition, you will ensure that children/ young people and their families, and health and education professionals who contact the service receive excellent customer service and assistance.

If you are a multi-tasker with great communication and organisation skills, who enjoys variety and has the ability to work systematically using your own initiative, this could be the job for you

This is a part-time permanent role 18.75 hours a week.

We are on a significant journey of transformation in the quality of services provided, through greater co-production with service users and carers, and addressing long-standing inequalities. Increasingly, we are leading and collaborating closely with integrated care partnerships including working towards giving a stronger voice to some of the most vulnerable people in society.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Team Administrator who is passionate about providing a high-quality, comprehensive, effective and friendly administrative support to the team. In addition, you will ensure that children/ young people and their families, and health and education professionals who contact the service receive excellent customer service and assistance.

West London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse providers of mental health, community and social care in the UK.

Our 3,982 staff care for people in hospital and in the community, helping them to recover and go on to lead full and productive lives. We aim to be the best organisation of our kind in the country.

We provide care and treatment for more than 800,000 people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow, delivering services in the community (at home, in GP surgeries and care homes), hospital, specialist clinics and forensic (secure) units.

We’re rated good overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Together, we’re committed to promoting hope and wellbeing, working with patients, service users, carers, families and partners across the communities we serve.

We are keen to ensure that our workforce reflects the community it serves, particularly in terms of ethnicity, gender, disability, LGBTQ+ and experience of mental illness.

The Team Administrator will provide a comprehensive, efficient and professional administrative service to the Hounslow CAMHS Mental Health Support Teams (MHST). The MHSTs are part of an exciting trailblazer project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community. There is a specific focus on developing more access to appropriate help and improving the general culture of emotional support within all primary and secondary schools.

The post holder will support the smooth running of the service, and ensure that children, young people, their families and carers, as well as internal and external staff, contractors and other visitors receive excellent customer service and assistance.

The focus of the role will be to provide and coordinate a range of administrative services, including data entry on electronic portals (e.g. Health Roster, RiO, Supply Chain), preparation of agendas and minutes, tracking progress of action logs and taking appropriate follow up action, supporting the team with projects and events, maintaining office supplies, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when necessary. As some of the work will involve speaking to families on the telephone and answering general telephone enquiries, the post holder must display a considerable degree of tact, possess mature judgement and maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner.
