We're looking for Solar Installers to help us shape our Solar PV offering. You'll play a direct role in helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint and save money - all whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience.

**Your key outcomes will be**:

- Carrying out Solar PV installs to the highest standards of workmanship.

Within your first 6 months month you'll:

- Have achieved an excellent customer service score and feedback.
- Carried out many successful quality installations.
- Achieved full compliance to the MCS standards as directed by your line manager.
- Worked safely and been a leader in safety to others in the business.
- Worked closely with the team to improve systems and ways of working.

**You'll be a successful Solar PV Installer **at OVO if you**
- Are an experienced roofer (min 1 year) and know how to slate, tile and carry out all aspects of traditional roofing including guttering, leadwork, UPVC roofline and flat roofs.
- and comfortable to work at heights.
- Desire to learn about the renewable energy industry.
- Set out and plan the PV panel installation on rooftop installations to the design requirements.
- Follow building standards and codes when installing panels and support structures.
- Panel laying and connecting to flat roof and in-roof mounting systems.
- Running and connecting DC cables to agreed points of access for electricians to complete.
- Telehandling and loader driving to load and unload panels.
- Scaffold inspections and other levels of H&S responsibility.
- Liaise with the project manager/surveyor to plan what equipment, tools, parts and programme/time information is needed for the project's solar PV installation.
- Work on a mixture of projects, mainly domestic properties ranging in size.
- Liaise with other contractors including scaffolding providers and electricians to ensure the installation is completed professionally and to plan.
- Ensure the project manager and other key people are kept up to date with the installation progress and issues.
- Know when to escalate issues to the project manager/surveyor or higher management.
- Ensure a high level of customer communication at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Have a full UK driving license - you will be required to travel in and around Dorset and the surrounding counties.
- Happy to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Work on your own initiative to solve problems.
- Have a recognised trade qualification (eg. City and Guilds preferred or equivalent)
