Job Introduction
As our new Sales Support, you will be an important part of BBC Studios UK Content Sales team, responsible for rights checking and scheduling of the BBC channels catch up service in the Republic of Ireland (BBC SER VOD service), in advance of transmission on the BBC channels in the UK, for Sky (plus any other platforms that adopt the service in the future).

You will oversee the smooth running of the BBC SER VOD service, including trouble-shooting when issues arise.

You will also provide valuable administrative support for the UK and Ireland sales team across the entire sales process, for both linear and VOD, thereby helping the team to maximise revenue across its well established customer base.

Main Responsibilities
- Work on a weekly cycle, taking upcoming transmission information from BBC Public Service, checking rights, co-ordinating with the Content, Rights and Operations teams across BBCS and PS before finalising a schedule to trigger onward delivery to Sky/the client.
- Work across multiple systems, including Rightsline and the Movida scheduling system.
- Investigate issues with clearances and version control.
- Be the first point of contact for all parties (including Sky and the PS) when issues arise with the VOD service, sometimes out of hours - e.g. late schedule changes or content revocations - ensuring the right people are alerted/talking to each other.
- Need to become familiar with the end-to-end SER VOD service process and all its elements/associated parties, to be able to trouble-shoot effectively.
- Provide regular reports to Sky and other platforms.
- Liaise with Finance and the BBC Studios Deal Management team to ensure correct invoicing, payaways and payment processing.
- Collate and maintain monthly tallies, platform subscriber reports and other necessary information to support BBC Studios’ ongoing SER business in Ireland.
- Responsible for 3rd party sales availability reporting, ensuring that all rights granted within contracts have been confirmed as available for the length of the licence period and do not conflict with existing sales agreements in the territory or from other divisions.
- Coordinate the handover at the conclusion of deal negotiations to the Deal Management Team; ensure contracts are issued and a smooth transition of the deal to post-sales support and asset delivery is achieved, liaising with Sales Managers, Clients and the Deal Management Team as required.
- Responsible for UK content sales compliance checks, understanding issues and restrictions that might impact on sales.
- Provide information for the sales team to support identification of sales opportunities and the development of compelling sales propositions and pitches.
- Liaise with sales teams to update the weekly sales data with deal information confirmed and pending and provide other management information on sales in the territory/business as required, updating relevant sales forecasts with deal information and inputting into sales reporting as required.
- Have an extensive knowledge and understanding of all relevant IT systems. To be known as a ‘super user’ and provide additional system training to help others.
