As a Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in the Software Development team, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of databases. **Ideal Skillset of the ideal Database Administrator**
- Experience in a Senior DBA role with comprehensive responsibility for all aspects of database management, preferably within a SaaS product environment.
- Proven track record in identifying and delivering production data tier architecture changes, demonstrating end-to-end ownership of change management processes.
- Hands-on experience with Azure-based database technologies, including Azure SQL Server (PaaS) and Azure SQL Managed Instances.
- Proficiency in managing Transparent Database Encryption configurations, including key lifecycle management.
- Extensive experience in Performance Tuning and Optimisation (PTO) of database systems and providing support to software developers.
- Familiarity with SolarWinds SQL Sentry for database performance monitoring.
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
- Experience in designing and implementing Data Warehouse technologies and strategies.

**Nice to have**:

- MCSE/MCSA certification or equivalent.
- Azure SQL qualifications demonstrating expertise in Microsoft Azure database services.
- Previous DevOps experience, facilitating collaboration between development and operations teams.
