**Role overview**
We are looking for a new Patient Administrator to join our Bristol site. This will be 40 hours over 5 days per week, including weekends on a rota basis.
You will be the central point of contact for all telephone queries from both patient and clinic staff and will ensure that an efficient administration service is delivered whilst maintaining a positive relationship with internal and external parties at every interaction.
We need someone who is incredibly customer focused and enjoys meeting and talking to people - the thought of eye surgery can be a daunting prospect for patients to deal with, so all our team members need to be empathetic and friendly and able to put patients at ease.
**What skills and experience do I need?**
We are looking for someone who is caring, organised, and happy to speak with people You could have previous experience, or be at the start of your career in healthcare.
We’ll provide training so experience isn’t always needed, but the following things will be advantageous:
- Previous experience in a customer or patient facing role
- Experience in a busy administrative role
- An understanding and respect of confidentiality at all times when dealing with calls or with patients directly
- Enjoys working with a range of people and is able to tailor their approach to a diversity of patients needs with a friendly and accessible personal manner
- A competent user of all Office 365 programmes
- Comfortable working with computers and happy to learn new systems e.g. patient record system.
- A good phone manner
- An excellent grasp of the English language both verbally and in written format
- A good team player - happy to jump in and support others when required
