The EIS are now delighted to be looking to recruit to two exciting kickstart positions, HR Assistant and Data Protection Support Officer.
**Data Protection Support Officer**
The post holder will work closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO), supporting a variety of specific data protection compliance projects, providing administrative support to ensure the organisation, with the DPO, is GDPR compliant on an ongoing basis.

Your key tasks will be:
Working with the DPO, supporting a variety of specific data protection compliance projects including but not limited to:

- How we can drive forward completion of the information asset register (IAR)
- How we can improve our set up (i.e. technically) and management (i.e. people and tools) of the IAR and document our data processing activities under Article 30 of the GDPR most effectively
- How we can better support staff to embrace the IAR and keep updated
- How we can fully and efficiently address any patterns and/or compliance gaps/risks that emerge from the IAR

Provide administrative support and progress items as appropriate to ensure the organisation, with the DPO, is compliant on an ongoing basis:

- Take on specific areas of work for the DPO or the wider business services team as required

Supporting the DPO in carrying out research on specific topics in the privacy/information rights field as and when required to inform best practice, and shape internal guidance such as SharePoint advice pages and policy.
