We are looking for a skilled and organized Receptionist to join our team, working in a busy healthcare setting.
Job DescriptionThis role involves managing the front desk, handling phone calls, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the RoleAs a Receptionist, you will be the primary point of contact for patients and staff, responding to inquiries and directing calls to relevant personnel.
You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, updating patient information, and ensuring confidentiality.
Responsibilities- Manage the front desk, ensuring it is tidy and well-organized at all times.
- Answer phone calls, respond to queries, and direct calls to relevant staff members.
- Process patient registrations, update records, and maintain confidentiality.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry, photocopying, and filing.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above - or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
Absolutely essential skills include:
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Clear, polite telephone manner.
- Competent in the use of Office and Outlook.
- Effective time management (planning and organizing).
- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to follow policy and procedure.
