**Position: Assistant Loans Officer and Administrator (Part-time, Permanent)**
**Reports to: The Chief Executive**

**Job Purpose**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**General Administration**
Responsible for answering member and general enquiries and supporting operational processes, diligently, in a timely and accurate manner, and in line with FAIRshare policy, procedure and regulatory requirement, to include:
- Member account maintenance
- Carry out reception/teller duties as required
- General office duties and administration
- Meet and maintain set targets (accuracy, time, quantity)
- Provide holiday cover as necessary
- Other tasks reasonably requested by the Chief Executive
**Loan Applications and Administration**
- Conduct Credit Reference Agency checks as appropriate
- Communicate loan decisions to applicants
- Meet and maintain set targets (accuracy, time, default rates)
- To contribute to the growth of the loan book value in line with annual budgetary targets
- Contribute to development of loan policy and procedures
- Other tasks reasonably requested by the Chief Executive
**Skills and Attributes**
**Essential**
- Experience of administering or delivering a customer centred product or service.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines within a daily routine.
- Strong organisational ability, with the ability to self-manage busy workflow to ensure business goals are met.
- Results driven and analytical.
- Able to work co-operatively as part of a team.
- Confident, outgoing, enthusiastic, self-motivated, hard-working and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Flexible in approach but also able to recognise when to seek additional help or guidance.
- Eligibility to work in the UK
**Desirable**
- Knowledge of credit unions and their role in delivering financial services.
- Experience of banking or financial services would be advantageous
- Previous experience of loan administration
- Previous experience of loan decision making.
- Previous experience within the financial services/credit union sector is advantageous.
**Hours of Work and Location**
19.5 hours per week.
Mon - 9.00am to 2.30pm
Wed - 9.00am to 4.30pm
Fri - 9.00am to 4.30pm
This post is based in one of our Telford offices with an occasional requirement to work at other locations across the area we are regulated to provide our services in.
**Benefits**
144 hours annual holiday (includes Bank holidays)
Contributory pension scheme.
**Salary**
£12,505 pro rata (£24,050 FTE)
