Low Risk Case Worker (Youth Justice Service)

**Salary: £32,076 - £33,024**
- The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role._

**Hours**:37 hours

**Location(s)**: Workington Library, Workington or Cumbria House, Carlisle

**Contract**:6 month contract.

**About this opportunity**

We have an interesting and exciting opportunity for an experienced, skilled, and committed person to provide support to Young People aged 10-18 with social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health difficulties.

You will be required to carry out assessments and work with young people to develop plans, prepare and maintain accurate written records, and ensure the delivery of disposals imposed by the courts and police. It is important that the voices of children and young people are heard and informs assessment and direct work.

You will work closely with our Turnaround programme, to work with young people and families to prevent offending. To ensure positive outcomes and be passionate in working with young people, being proactive and thinking outside of the box to engage and carry out direct out with young people.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check.
