Circle Health Group is currently seeking a skilled Surgical First Assistant (Nurse) to join our team at The Priory Hospital in Birmingham. This is a temporary position with a start and end date of 12/02/2024. As a Surgical First Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensuring a sterile environment in the operating room by preparing and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs during surgical procedures and alerting the surgical team of any abnormalities.
- Providing direct patient care, including prepping patients for surgery, assisting with positioning patients on the operating table, and attending to their needs during surgery.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care.
- Adhering to infection control policies and procedures to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in surgical techniques and equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Registered Nurse qualification and valid nursing license.
- Previous experience as a Surgical First Assistant is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
