Perfusionist

The Birmingham Womens and Childrens Hospital Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the perfusion team. The perfusion department performs 350-400 paediatric perfusions per year with a variety of congenital heart defects.

A Hypoplastic Left Heart and complex Pulmonary Atresia programme provide a large variety of challenging procedures. The department also provides perfusion support for the hospitals commissioned ECMO service. We are enthusiastic about personal development, career progression, research and teaching, so paediatric experience is not essential as training will be given. We will provide gateways for those wanting a senior grade and support their progression.

This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills by joining a team in an exciting and challenging surgical environment. We reward this with an R&R payment of £2500 divided over 12 months and a £2500 additional payment after your first year.
