**Job description**:
The role of Change and Project Implementation Officer sits within the current DBS Change Delivery Team. The undertaking of this role will ensure that all Armed Forces Pension Schemes (AFPS) are compliant with Policy and Legislative intent. The incumbent will be required to identify areas for Business Improvement and work with other areas to bring about these changes for the benefit of the Department and our Customers.

The incumbent will ensure that objectives and outputs are achieved within agreed time-frames, quality constraints and will have a key role in working with stakeholders. Further, they will assist with on-going projects which are managed within the wider team when required.

The role will require someone who is proactive and able to multitask different responsibilities whilst delivering at pace. The role requires an ability to analyse, sometimes with limited information whilst making effective decisions. The Post will be fast paced, varied and challenging.

The Post Holder will report to the Change Delivery Team C2 based in Kentigern House, Glasgow.

**Responsibilities**:
The post holder will become a Subject Matter Expert on aspects of the business and will then be expected to undertake the following:
Scope and implement new policies/requirements, agreeing the deliverables from initial request; working through the policy and the change process including the delivery phases to completion.

Be instrumental in ensuring that the Legislative and Policy changes are properly impacted to ensure mínimal impact on Operational delivery.

Seek resolution to issues which impact on the ability to deliver the Schemes in accordance with the regulations, working with the Scheme administrators (Authority and contractors, as necessary), People AF Remuneration and Central Legal Services.

Play a significant part in the Continual Business Improvement cycle not just in relation to AFPS but across the whole of the Department.

Provide support and related activities (as and when required) to various projects within the team. This may include arranging and chairing meetings, minute taking and the completion of Change and Project documentation including Business Cases and Update Reports when required. At this point in time projects being worked on are 2015 Remedy and the Pensions Dashboard Programme.

The job holder will also be expected to assist the C1 and C2 Change Managers with queries and updates in relation to the Service Delivery Contract.

Development Opportunities:
This is an exciting opportunity be involved in the delivery of Operational change that has a direct impact on improving Defence capability. Change Management, Leadership and Project skills will be developed and enhanced through the undertaking of this role.
